Client: Maxeda IT Services
A company of 250 employees, formerly part of the Maxeda Group, delivering IT services to businesses held by Maxeda such as Praxis, Bijenkorf, V&D, M&S, Hunkemöller, Claudia Sträter and HEMA.

Project: To formulate and implement a new business strategy for Maxeda IT Services, transforming it from an internal IT service provider to a professional external IT service provider. To develop and implement a program which would attract the right partner to take over the complete IT operations of Maxeda IT Services.

 

Peter’s Role: As Director of Business Strategy, Peter directed the program for outsourcing Maxeda IT Services.

 

Tasks: Development of outsourcing strategy, data gathering, RFP, contract negotiation and successful implementation. Selection of consultants, vendors, methodology and lawyers.

 

Result: Maxeda IT Services was completely outsourced within the 1 year deadline. Capgemini was successful out of 7 bidders who competed to take over Maxeda IT Services as an external IT provider, creating the new company Capgemini Retail Solutions as of February 2008.
