Client: Super de Boer (formerly Laurus)
One of The Netherlands’ biggest retailers with 20,000 employees. Owner of brands Super de Boer, Konmar and Edah.

 

Project: Simplify the complex IT environment, reduce costs and improve relations with the new shareholder Casino.

 

Peter’s role: IT Director.

 

Tasks: Peter was fully responsible for the profit and loss account of all IT operations (headquarters Laurus and its store formats Super de Boer, Konmar en Edah)

Result: Improved the quality of IT operations and decreased the operational costs by more than 20 % within two years. After the Edah and Konmar store formats were sold off, Peter quickly further decreased the IT cost by more than 20% through developing and implementing a successful outsourcing strategy for the complete IT infrastructure, including hosting and maintenance services outsourced to Simac.
